Today I am in the beautiful city of Flagstaff, Arizona, the largest city in northern Arizona, staying at the Drury Inn. I explored the town and all of interesting places to go. Flagstaff is nestled at the base of the San Francisco Peaks at 7,000 feet. It is quite cold here since it is December months which means snow.
Since it is cold, but still sunny, I took public transit to the Museum of Northern Arizona to learn more about the history. Flagstaff is rich and planted on hefty Native American soil, so the museum contains many Native American artifacts and specimen. The museum also had natural history specimens from the Colorado Plateau and many things around it. Next I went to the NAU campus to take a tour of the home of the lumberjacks. After that, I took a bus to Lowell Observatory, an astronomical research facility, later when the sun went down to check out the activities. I took a tour around the four acres, then sat for a lecture about the history, and lastly I took a few looks through the telescopes. I then went back to the hotel to get sleep for my next day of adventures.
